Legal databases available at ACLL
Alameda County Law Library provides free public access to a number of databases used for legal research.
This week, we highlight – HeinOnline.
Not as well known as other legal research databases, such as Lexis or Westlaw, HeinOnline provides a wealth of law reviews and legal materials that cannot be found in the files of other publishers.
HeinOnline bridges an important research gap by providing comprehensive coverage from inception of law-related periodicals. In addition to its vast collection of academic journals, HeinOnline contains historical collections of the Federal Register, and Code of Federal Regulations, complete coverage of the U.S. Reports back to 1754, entire databases dedicated to treaties and U.S. Presidents, and much more
HeinOnline is accessible within the library on ACLL computers. It is also available over the library’s WiFi to your laptops at https://heinonline.org/HOL/Welcome
