Legal research databases available at ACLL

Alameda County Law Library provides free public access to a number of databases used for legal research.

This week, we highlight – CEB’s OnLAW

CEB’s (Continuing Education of the Bar) OnLAW provides web access to digital libraries of California practice guides including for the areas of:

  • Business Law
  • Civil Litigation
  • Criminal Law
  • Employment Law
  • Estate Planning
  • Evidence
  • Family Law
  • Real Property
  • Torts
  • Workmen’s Compensation

With OnLAW, you can search CEB’s publications to find expert step-by-step guidance, legal analysis, and forms you need to practice law in California.

Not sure where a issue may be discussed?  You can run a search across all OnLAW’s libraries to pinpoint expert discussions on your topic.

You can run a keyword, case, statute, or form search.  OnLAW also provides many downloadable forms as Word documents.

ACLL’s OnLAW account can be accessed by using the library’s public computers and by using your laptop while connected to ACLL’s Wi-Fi. http://ceb.com/OnLAW/ipaccess/default.aspx
