We are reminding our patrons that the Alameda County Law Library will be closed next week due to continuing revenue shortfalls. See the calendar below for details on the closures.
The Council of California County Law Libraries have been lobbying state officials seeking help with these financial issues. Here is the letter sent this fall to Governor Brown outlining the budget dilemma the county law libraries find themselves in these days – 2016_1003_lettertogovernor.
If you wish help, please consider contacting the governor or your state legislators, to give a word of support to the requested first-time appropriations to balance against the severe drop in the court filing fees. County law libraries are dependent on filing fees as their revenue source.
Or – consider donating to the Alameda County Law Library to help us continue our mission of helping your fellow citizens navigate the legal system. You can use this link –
