The new school year has begun in the East Bay. The old standard of beginning classes after Labor Day does not seem apply any more. Educational institutions are pushing forward their start dates to insure enough time for all the necessary learning before the end of the year deadline.
Talking about educational courses, California State Bar has a deadline for you, too. Lawyers (ahem, Compliance Group #3 Last name N-Z) should not put off gathering their participatory credits until next January. The California State Bar takes the audit process seriously. Be ready. Be organized. Be-low is a form to help.
The Alameda County Law Library, a California State Bar MCLE Provider, is in a back-to-school mood this month, too. We have a number of MCLE class offerings on our September schedule. Classes are offered at mid-day. ACLL Oakland is conveniently located a few blocks from the Lake Merritt BART station.
Our MCLE class schedule this month includes:
- September 15, The Probate Process
- September 20, Anatomy of a Traffic Case
- September 21, Digital Accessibility for Lawyers
- September 27, Westlaw: What’s New?
- September 28, CA Wage & Hour Law
- September 29, Family Immigration Options after US v. Texas
You can register for ACLL’s MCLE classes online, using the Eventbrite links above, or call (510) 272-6483.
Since the California Bar Association is actively auditing members to see who has met MCLE requirements, here is a MCLE Self-Study log (Word format) to help you get organized. MCLE_log_ac_law_library
