Lawyers in the Library: What, When and Where

Lawyers in the Library provides Alameda County residents the opportunity to meet with a volunteer attorney at participating Alameda County libraries free of charge. Appointments run 10 to 15 minutes, and emphasis is on referrals to local legal organizations. Lawyers in the Library a pro bono service offered by the Alameda County Bar Association.

The Alameda County Law Library hosts Lawyers in the Library once a month at its Main and Branch locations.

An attorney is on-site on the third Tuesday of the month at the Main Library in Oakland from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m, and on the second Thursday of the month at the Hayward Branch from 5:00 -7:00 p.m.
